In animal care you will supervise campers as they have the experiences of holding, feeding and being around a number of different and interesting animals. You may also get to go on adventures with campers finding animals in the wild and field trips to Buck Wild. You’ll play a key part in creating a safe and fun environment so campers can learn and grow. You will be responsible for ensuring that all campers follow proper safety protocols and that the animals are handled and cared for appropriately.
The Role of a Camp Counselor
As a summer camp counselor you will have responsibilities in your activity areas and the greater camp program. Your positive attitude, diligent supervision, and servant-leadership are instrumental in making camp safe and fun!
Counselors at Camp Rio Vista for Boys and Camp Sierra Vista for Girls serve as big brothers and big sisters to our campers. You will be the grown-up kids ages 6-16 are looking up to while they are at camp.
