There’s something different about working here — different from every other summer camp you’ve ever heard of — at Vista Camps our counselors get to sign up for activities just like the campers do! That means your summer job is going to be extra fun.
You will have the opportunity to assist, or lead, multiple activities based on your interests. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try archery, or perhaps you love playing baseball but you also want to have time for music. At Vista, you can do both, and after the session changes, you can sign up to be the counselor for 2 new activities!
We are looking for people who love kids, enjoy teaching, and want to make a difference. Our summer camp offers you the opportunity to have a great summer while you earn money and build your resumé. Working at camp is a real job with real responsibilities, so a summer at Vista is a great way to gain real world experience and possibly a letter of recommendation for your post college job search.
Our goal and philosophy at Vista Camps is to offer a safe, wholesome, fun-filled, learning experience to every boy and girl. We do this by hiring mature, responsible, and dedicated staff — YOU! — who are genuinely interested in the well-being of each camper.
Camp isn’t a perfect place, but it’s a wonderful place. We have fun. We laugh and cry. We meet new people. We join tribes. We build community. We do daring things we wouldn’t do anywhere else. We fall down and get up again. We take care of each other.
— Justin Hawkins, Camp Owner
