As a counselor in our Arts & Crafts department, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire campers with your own unique artistic talents while helping them develop their own skills and creativity. From painting and drawing to crafts and other fun ideas, you’ll lead a variety of engaging and age-appropriate projects that will keep campers engaged and excited all summer long.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating a safe environment where campers can explore their creativity and learn new techniques. You’ll work closely with other counselors to plan and execute a variety of activities that showcase the amazing artwork created by our talented campers.
As a counselor in our Arts & Crafts program, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own skills and build strong relationships with your fellow counselors and campers, helping to create a positive and supportive camp environment!
You can sign up to lead, or assist. If you’re experienced you may sign up to lead; if you don’t have prior experience we’ll train you so you can assist.
The Role of a Camp Counselor
As a summer camp counselor you will have responsibilities in your activity areas and the greater camp program. Your positive attitude, diligent supervision, and servant-leadership are instrumental in making camp safe and fun!
Counselors at Camp Rio Vista for Boys and Camp Sierra Vista for Girls serve as big brothers and big sisters to our campers. You will be the grown-up kids ages 6-16 are looking up to while they are at camp.
