Are you a passionate fencer who loves sharing your sport with others? Join our summer camp fencing program and help campers learn the exciting and challenging sport of fencing! You’ll have the opportunity to teach campers the basics of footwork, blade work, and strategy while creating a fun and engaging atmosphere. You’ll lead drills and games that help campers develop their skills and build their confidence on the strip. You’ll work with campers of all ages and skill levels, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages growth and learning. Whether you’re a competitive fencer or just enjoy the sport for fun, this is a great opportunity to share your passion with a new generation of fencers.
As a camp counselor at Vista, you can sign up to lead, or assist an activity. If you’re experienced you may sign up to lead; if you don’t have prior experience we’ll train you so you can assist.
It’s your job to teach the fundamentals and help campers enjoy the activity. You’ll play a key part in creating a safe and fun environment so campers can learn and grow. You will be responsible for ensuring that all campers follow proper safety protocols and that equipment is handled and maintained appropriately.
As a summer camp counselor you will have responsibilities in your activity areas and the greater camp program. Your positive attitude, diligent supervision, and servant-leadership are instrumental in making camp safe and fun!
Counselors at Camp Rio Vista for Boys and Camp Sierra Vista for Girls serve as big brothers and big sisters to our campers. You will be the grown-up kids ages 6-16 are looking up to while they are at camp.
